Stanton Wine Company is an independent Wine Merchant based in the North Cotswold village of Broadway. The company sells wine from its retail shop in Kennel Lane and offers free delivery in Broadway and the surrounding area (Evesham, Chipping Campden, Winchcombe, Stow on the Wold). Nationwide mail order is also available. (Packaging & Delivery charges apply)
The company was started by Robert McNulty in 1995. Robert sat his first wine exam while still a student and passed his Diploma in 1991. His real training began in London with John Harvey & Sons (the wine division of Harvey's of Bristol) before working at Fine Wine retailer Andre Simon and independent wine shipper Laytons.
Visitors to our shop will also meet long time employee Michael Evans (a former nuclear engineer!) and Julie Exton who has passed with flying colours the WSET Intermediate and Advanced wine exams.
Stanton Wine Company was established to supply customers in Worcestershire and north Gloucestershire. The majority of our business remains with wholesale customers but the steady growth in numbers of private clients led to the opening of the Broadway retail shop in 2001.
Our aim is to offer wines that represent the best available from their region of origin. This generally means dealing with single estates and individual producers rather than stocking branded wines that are widely available. Wines are selected after extensive tasting and regular visits to producers around the world.
The range takes in some of the best names from France, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, South America and the Cape. Our Broadway Wine Shop (which enables us to sell by the bottle as well as by the case) also stocks a range of malt whisky, rum, cognac, wine accessories and gift packaging.
